The first official fitness class we've offered at NutritionFit NC. The first class was ZUMBA fitness. We only started with six people!

It didn't take long for our numbers to increase to over 40 participants!

ZUMBA fitness at Golden Corral in the Raleigh-Garner area of North Carolina! It was HOT that day! We've tried to raise funds for Camp Corral, a free camp for children of disabled or fallen veterans.

Yep...it was HOT! The class was supposed to be 2 hours. We had to cut it down to 1.5 hours...or else people were going to pass out!

Caroline is one of our regular fitness participants. Her goal was to lose 20 lbs. After successfully losing 15 lbs on her own, she couldn't lose the last 5 lbs -- until she attended our ZUMBA fitness classes. Within four weeks, not only did she drop the last 5 lbs, but she also dropped 3 inches from her waist! Keep up the good work, Caroline!

For the longest time, Dawn was at a SERIOUS plateau of her weight. When having a "consultation" with her, I was even surprised at how she was unable to lose any weight despite being active and eating healthy. She was given a "plank challenge" to do at home in addition to attending our fitness classes, which had given her SLIGHT results. But when she added in our nutrition program, Dawn lost 12.5 inches in two weeks! Keep up the good work, Dawn!

Before you start dreading squats and lunges, think about Bebe! For a long time, she had issues with her knees popping out of joint and staying out of joint for a while. Recently, she had one of her knees pop out of joint...but then her knee snapped right back in place almost immediately, which isn't normal! She attributed the quick recovery of her knee to all the squats and lunges we do in our classes. She is also a strong supporter of these classes. If she misses one class, we get worried because she is ALWAYS there. Whether it be a fundraising class, a holiday day, or any class we could think of conducting, she is there. For her, fitness is her life -- and because of her dedication, her knees were strengthened, her clothes are getting looser, and her positive attitude has certainly increased! Way to go, Bebe!

Jan has won the award for the oldest person who attends our classes, standing strong at 67 years old! She is a school teacher who first came to our classes to simply observe what we did. After being impressed with what she saw, she started coming on a regular basis. Not only has her waist slimmed down, but she has develop SIGNIFICANT upper body strength. She used to attend yoga classes but wasn't never able to hold a full plank position for long. She stopped attending yoga classes, attended our ZUMBA or Fitness Fusion classes, and then attended yoga classes again after being away from those classes for several months. When she came back to her yoga classes, she was able to hold a full plank position for a much longer period! She serves as a powerful example to not only those of her age, but to the younger folks. We appreciate having our "senior participants" in our presence, especially since our classes are very intense. This goes to show that as long as you are taking care of your body, you could use it for a LONG time to come! Keep it up, Jan!
